The Kings’s Trust: Helping Bring More Than Just Coco to Life

Since December 2023, Cuddly Companion Company has been proudly supported by the incredible team at the Kings Trust and truthfully, we wouldn’t be where we are today without them.

The Kings’s Trust Enterprise Programme helps young entrepreneurs turn bright ideas into real, sustainable businesses. Through expert mentoring, access to resources, and crucial funding, they’ve helped us not only develop our concept but also test it in the real world and bring it to life.

Thanks to their support, we didn’t just create Coco the cuddly cockapoo, we built something bigger: The Ultimate Adventure Bundle.

Throughout the programme, the King’s Trust gave us so much more than funding. We had bi-weekly catch-ups with an incredible mentor who kept us focused, helped refine our business plan, and acted as the perfect accountability partner setting tasks, pushing us to improve, and challenging us to think bigger.

With their guidance, we finalised our prototype of Coco, tested the market, gathered feedback, and strengthened every part of the idea. Once we proved there was real excitement around Coco and The Ultimate Adventure Bundle, the next step was preparing to launch: securing manufacturers and partners, building a go-to-market strategy, refining the business plan, and creating detailed financial forecasts.

The result? We were awarded grant funding from the King’s Trust to help bring our vision to life and properly launch Cuddly Companion Company. This support has been vital in proving the concept and laying the groundwork for what’s to come.

And now we stand at the beginning of the next exciting chapter. With Coco and The Ultimate Adventure Bundle ready to meet the world, this journey is only just getting started. There are big adventures ahead (and no doubt a few twists and turns!) but thanks to the King’s Trust, we have the tools, confidence, and belief to make it all happen.

We can’t wait to look back in ten years' time, smiling at how far this little idea and this little cockapoo have come.
